Setting up my tents to check for any issues before hunting season and found I have a few spots of mildew on both tents. What have you guys used to remove mildew on your tents?

I have heard of a mild solution of Woollite or similar rubbed in with a soft brush but I would like to do this just once and be done instead of guessing....

TIA,
Bob

Straight vinegar in spray bottle, hose off, let dry, GTG.

Kicks the crap out of and kills mold too.

You will never remove the stains I don't think, but to kill the mildew, plain old vinegar stops it. If you don't kill the spores with vinegar, the next time it even gets damp the mildew will sprout in just a couple days.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I found this article on a link on walltentshop.com and tried it out. Worked really well and took off all the light and relatively recent mildew and stain and knocked down the older mildew spots pretty well. Not sure I would want to use straight vinegar, but that is the next step if I get any more issues with midlew in my tents..

Also keep in mind that once you get mildew in the canvas that spot is weekend and will rip sooner or latter.
That's why I set mine up in the garage after hunting season with a big fan inside and dry it out thoroughly.
