The Walmart in the town I work in has an add for overnight stock boys starting at $16.25 an hour. They’ve been advertising for over a month now. Mind you this is an area where a live able older house in town can be bought for <50k. Heck the plant I work for has a starting pay grade of $17hr. Crazy

Allot of people who lost their jobs in the food service industry are not going back regardless of losing unemployment benefits. Look at the states that ended the unemployment early. They still have shortages. Gee, I wonder what caused that? LOL You stupid fugkin' f a g g o t.

Crazy Locally - not much has been an issue due to "staffing" - places are open. That said - all of the local paper mills are hiring and advertising to find people. Used to be, you had to be generational just to get an interview. Now they have billboards. 28 an hour in the first year at one, other has 2k sign on bonus etc. People are willing to work - so long as it's A/C, no physical exertion, unlimited vacation, no thinking and no requirement to show up. Basically they want free checks. All you have to do is pee clean, show up on time and not call in sick every other shift and you're likely to be promoted faster than a McDonald's manager....

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ We have a plant with around 300 people, machine shop making automotive parts, relatively clean, light work. Everyday absenteeism is around 10% or more & we have a revolving door with people leaving & trying to hire replacements.........we seem to be losing ground & are in a constant training mode with the continual stream of new hires which kills productivity. We are working the people that want to work, to death with a constant diet of 60 hour work weeks as we are overwhelmed with orders. No end in sight right now. Really novel concept................paying people not to work & then wondering why they won't work. Laughin'....................utter stupidity except to make more people dependent on the .gov tit. Which of course is the gola of the socialist left .gov. MM.
