Bought a Traeger Friday, did three racks of baby backs using the 2-2-1 method @225 deg. I was please with the results and it seemed almost foolproof. Does anyone else use a pellet grill?

Love mine. Gonna smoke some wings tonight.

I have a really BIG smoker (24 square feet of cooking surface) and I have a small Masterbuilt for doing a rack of ribs or chicken or small cooks when I don't want/need to fire the big one up. When the Masterbuilt dies, I am thinking about getting a pellet smoker of some kind. I have not researched them a lot as I am not in the market right now, but Traeger and Camp Chief are at the top of the list from what little I have looked. I am glad to hear that you like yours.

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I got a big Pro780 about 5 years ago. Still rubs awesome to this day and I still use it a lot. I recently got another one for a house in another state, my old Marine buddies hooked me up with the Timberline 1300. Both of them have been perfect and I’m sold on pellet smoking. Just as was mentioned. Load the meat, set the temp and let it rip. I know there might be better but Traeger has worked great for me and about 5 others of my friends.

I have a Traeger that I have used quite a bit over the last 5 years or so. One thing on mine is that the heating elements seem to go out every so often. I probably have a hundred briskets through it so far as well as pork shoulders among other tasty items. Love the simplicity of it. I also have a smaller version at my camp for when we have bigger gatherings.
