Got a VX3 on a Kimber Montana 25-06 and I'll never change it. Balance is fantastic. Ive got a 4.5-14x50 on it as I had bought a Meopta for it and the shop sold it to someone before I picked it up so we worked out the leupold. Its a short action scope so Talley got me set up with extended bases and rings. Don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices you listed but I'd lean toward leupold. Gonna be a beautiful combination when done.

Have a Leupold 6x36 long range on mine - Perfect IMO, the 2-7x33, 2.5-8x36 and 6x36 are ideal in the Kimber Rob. Functional, svelt, and aesthetically pleasing.

All my hunting rifles, including a Montana, Ruger 77RL and M70 Featherweight in 257 Roberts, have either a Leupold 2-7X33, 2.5-8X36 or 1.5-5X22 up top. About 18-20 scopes, across 40-45 years and never had to send one back.
I hear ya on that 4A. I'm a sucker for them, too.

I put a silver 2.5-8x36 Leupold on my Kimber Montana 6.5 CM. It does fit both the aesthetics and functionality requirements. Today's first range session was very good even though I forgot to bring targets and had to get creative with cardboard. Oops........... Rifle, scope with Talley LW"s (low) 5# 15 oz..

I have two .257 Roberts'. Both wear Leupold 2.5-8x36 scopes and have been on for years. I am entirely happy with them. However, I have a spare Z3 3-9x36 sitting here doing nothing and thought about putting it on one of them, just to differentiate them a bit. Both rifles are Ruger Hawkeyes, one matt blued and the other gloss.
I've never heard of Maven scopes. I'll have to have a google.

I've never heard of Maven scopes. I'll have to have a google. The Maven certainly fits the look, and has the wider FOV on the low end and higher max mag. 12.4 oz. Japanese made I believe.

Hands down, the Swarovski with the magnificent 4A reticle.
It's what I have on my Ruger Hawkeye Bob.

My Kimber 257 Select has a 2.5-8x32 Zeiss Conquest MC. Out of your list, Leupold or Zeiss would look better on it than the 2 tone Maven.

The Maven has nice lines. Very similar to Leupold.

The Maven has nice lines. Very similar to Leupold. I agree with that (apart form the ridiculous amount of logos on the scope, and the fact I find it too long for the svelt Kimber). Optics companies seem particularly prone to junking up scopes with excessive advertising/logos. Obviously it's a simple matter to replace the starboard side windage cap with a plain one. That would help...

I like the Swarovski with 4A reticle for current production scopes. I have a Kahles 3-9x AH with the plain duplex reticle on my Roberts. Classic lines, excellent glass, and hold zero. These have been discontinued for a while but show up on eBay once in a while. Gather up some Barnes 100 gr TTSX, Ramshot Hunter, some dies and brass and you’ll be good to go!

I agree with these 3 choices, have all 3 scopes on various guns. I really like the 6x36 just because it is sleek and simple. White spot on the far ridge is a dead antelope at about 225 yards. Cant remember which scope I have on it now, either a 2-7 or 2.5-8. Here with a 3-9x40 when I first got it because thats the only scope I had on the shelf. Not totally overpowering, but I like it smaller.
