Any recommendations on a SD card reader to hook to my phone for checking trail cams?
There are anywhere from 100-800 pics per card when I pull them. Is that even feasible on a phone?

It'd be slow.
I even got a dedicated WT game camera SD card reader. I use it sometimes. But it's slow too.
Best thing I have done regarding game cameras is go to cellular cameras.

LOL
Added, I bought a set of connectors for my Android phone I can plug darn near anything to it. Assume Apple is similar? Shouldn't assume I assume.

Something clever here.

A portable viewer my son has is even slower yet. a tablet with an sd card slot is a decent way to go. My tablet has a usb port so I use an SD usb adaptor.

Get extra sd cards and swap them out. It’s much faster

I’ve tried 3 and they all sucked. Better to just switch the cards out and check on a puter.

Buy a cheap laptop. Like a pawnshop clearance shelf laptop.
Or buy 2x cards and swap out. Go home and check em.

I have a Stealth Cam brand reader that I’m happy with but as others have said most of the time it’s easiest just to swap out cards and look at home.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=iphone+sd+card+reader&t=h_&ia=webNevermind. A tablet, even a relatively cheap one, would be more excellent for viewing pics.

Apple Lightning
Works great in the field or later at home on my iPad. Cost less than $15 so I keep a few around for truck, utv, home etc

I would just buy extra cards and replace the full ones. It's much faster on a computer at home.

Yeah I went portable viewer route and it sucks for anything over 3 pictures. It’s the reason for the thread. I can just keep bringing them back and using the computer.

Or buy 2x cards and swap out. Go home and check em. This is what I do. At our deer camp, I take a laptop along. Can look at them a lot easier.

I use multiple SD cards on those cameras, and pop a fresh one in and take the one with pics to the stand with me and use my card reader to see what's been coming and when while I'm hunting on the stand. But as I said, it can be slow if you have several hundred pics to go through.
