Gents..
I know this has been done before but I’m throwing it up again, what are some suggestions for making a batch of spicy pickled eggs..?
I have... Vinegar Picking spices Salt Sugar White onion Garlic Habeneros Jalapeño
Should I boil/simmer the peppers in with the water vinegar salt and sugar mix or layer them in raw with the white onion and pour the brine over that??
Thanks

Unless your using spices that need to dissolve I wouldn't heat the brine mix. Last batch I did- Asparagus pickling juice, whole garlic peeled, bay leaf, red pepper flakes. 10-14 days. Eat.

Eggs, cider vinegar, salt, whatever you want to put in.

Looks good fats.. we’ll see how these turn out. Last batch I made generic style by just dumping some eggs in a jalapeño jars juice and they didn’t pick up any flavor to speak of.. These have plenty of habaneros in them as well as garlic onion salt and some jallies and pickling spice. I’ll report back in 2 weeks...

Did a dozen first of the month with a half jar of cheap dollar store pickled jalapenos with some dill juice and a splash of beet juice for color. they have been pretty good, some heat and sweet. They're almost gone, need to start another batch.

Tough to get heat into pickled eggs. About the only way I've gotten heat into them was with pickled jalapeno brine. And that isn't exactly blazing.

Yep, this last batch won't very warm either but much better. Maybe if I can find some real hot pickled peppers?

Damn..that’s discouraging. What’s with this talk about people making smoking hot eggs then? I was really looking forward to some heat
