Just had a number of 232 gr. Oryx bullets cross my loading bench, so I guess I have another load development project coming up post-hunting season.
This one should be fun. I have some left over Ramshot Big Game looking lonely so I'm wondering if that powder would be viable?
Haven't found published load data for that particular combination, not even in the Gack Chronicles, but my super-duper SWAG abacus thinks it just might do.
Has anyone given that combo a try?

It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.

Ahhh... there it is: Western Powders 9.3x62mm Load DataHad to drill down to pages 3 or 4 on Google to locate it. Now I've got a starting load...

I could not get those numbers with big game and 250 accubonds
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Big Game is probably a touch slow for that bore and bullet if you looking for optimal. All the Ramshot powders I have used, TAC, Big Game and Hunter, like loads at the top of the pressure range.

Well, the left over Big Game is just sitting around so it's as good a reason as any to try it out on the 232's.
I want to save my RL-15 for the 250 NABs.
I also have a butt load of H4895, and some left over Varget. The Woodleigh manual references those 2 powders with their 232 gr. Hydro, so I'll also try starting loads with them as well just for S & Gs....

I got excellent three shot accuracy with the 232gn Norma and H4895. I went to Varget for 250gn. I'm not familiar with Big Game but I assume it's slower than Varget?

Haven't used the oryx but with 250gr TSX Ramshot has been my go to powder in the 9.3 for years. Extremely consistant accuracy with minimal velocity spread.

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I am using PP2000 in mine with 250 Swifts and Accubonds. Accuracy is good and I’ve kept them mild at 2650. I didn’t feel the need to pound myself with having a lighter rifle. It’s plenty lively with those.

Yea, my current thinking is to get the 232's up to ~2600, then see if I can trickle them up to ~2700. Somewhere's around 2700 makes an easy 200 yard zero and then take 'em elk hunting.
'Course, all this occurs after this years hunting season shuts down...
