We started filling our sileage bags on Thurs. Filled the 100' and started on the 200' now. Going well with the chopping, but had bag issues coming off the bagger on the second bag. Cost us a bunch of time or we would have been done by now.

Not near as much of that around here as just 10 years ago. Unreal the number of diary farms that now crop farm and run some nasty black cows.

Broke down, Jake's cat loader is overheating, and the John Deere chopper head is also broke down.

Sure seems to be a lot more chopping being done around here this year than usual - especially given the fact that hardly anyone has cattle.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

The crop adjuster said the corn runs near 260 bushels, that always goes down with drying, and combining.

Corn is yielding pretty good down here-some that went in a pit was estimated at 244 bu/ac.
I know of one family that has started shelling- moisture is around 20. But most of the crop isn't that dry yet
Might be the best yielding crop ever in this county
Always drink upstream from the herd...cowdoc...
