I'm sampling a Yuengling Pilsner at this moment. It's new around here so I thought I'd try it out. IMO it's pretty good, not great. I like Shiner when I can find it. Want to try Yingling someday. Whats the real tough one from up north? Grain Belt? Not sure, and I agree.....I like Shiner better by far.

One of my baseball teammates got hammered on Schaeffer one night in Reno. Don't ask me how, but he wound up driving a street cleaning machine back to the hotel from the Peppermill casino. When we got back it was in the hotel parking lot, still running, with the door open.

Sitting in the garage drinking one now. Our forefathers knew what they were talking about.
None of that watered down piss for me, full hops, Up-Hi IPA. Good man!

Hate trendy microbrew. Bud light cans. I do love some red stripe though. I’ll grab 4 or 5 cases in the beginning of summer for the shop. The old saying “a pistol is good for shooting your way to a rifle”? “Beer is good for drinking your way to a bottle of bourbon”

When we got back it was in the hotel parking lot, still running, with the door open. Buddy got a call from the cops one night at 2:00am, asked if one of his employees had clearance to run his skid loader. He said, of course he does, why? Cop says, like right now? Buddy says it’s 2am on a Saturday night, of course not, why? Cop says, we’ll he’s driving it through town tweaking on meth.

I’d agree. Today I accompanied most of my family (save My wife) to a Reds game. I have imbibed of a good many Oz of this sweet nectar of the gods. Getcha ice-cold Hudepohl HERE! The beer, peanuts, and bratwurst are usually the best things about going to a Reds game. It damn sure ain't the Reds.

Cheap, domestic macros especially. None of that fancy, hi fallutin, proper and refined microbrew crap for this guy.
I drink beer and LOTS of it, because I enjoy BSing with friends, drinking beer. Those nasty, hoppy concoctions make me full and feel bloated after just 1 or 2, and then I want to go to sleep. If that was what I wanted, I'd just cut to the chase and drink whisky.
Pass the cases of Miller Lite. PROOF there is a god. You don't have to drink filling beer to drink good beer. True. Coors Original is good and not as filling. So is MGD. They just give me an atrocious hangover after 5-6, let alone 10 or more. PBR for the win...comes in Light, too. 🦫 PS No ice required to enjoy it. Grins, MM Concur.

Yep. The Reds…well. They seemed to do what the Reds do today …the Dodgers win!!!
But all was not lost because of the beer, family and a day made good.
I “hopped” on the IPA train a few years ago but I’m a hobo no more. IPA had become like drinking electricity. There are a few good ones around but I’m getting to where they make me a little hot looking for a claymore (or angry cat) to swing around.
Lately I’m migrating back to good sound porters and stouts. Honest mellow and rich. I still like a good lager but lately want lager to be bright crisp and oh so cold. That’s where the joy is for me these days.
Mr Franklin would no doubt be pleased and join in the conversation but alas….

I can roll with PBR.
After one of my better nights and I don't remember the flavor, I woke op on a random couch in a random person's living room.
They made me pancakes that morning. It was awesome.

I don't drink any more except on rare occasions, but if I am having a beer I'm pretty partial to Mexican beers. Modelo, Modelo Negra, Sol, Dos Equis.
