A synopsis from 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' by C.S. Lewis:
The ship arrived at an island where they found several marooned sailors. They were in horrible condition with terror in their eyes. They said it was an island where your dreams came true. The crew of the ship started talking about how great that would be. The marooned sailors said 'You fools. This is where your DREAMS come true, not your DAYDREAMS.' The crew thought for a few seconds and rushed to hoist the sails and get out of there. None of them could face what they'd seen in their dreams.

It's not over when you lose. It's over when you quit.
I don’t know what it is, but I like it. Getting up, going to work after a bad night is miserable. I’m retiring the end of December, looking forward to the end of getting up at 4:30
It is enjoyable to get up when I feel like it, not when the cock says I have to. The down side is that it is usually the second time.... The Dachshund at 2 is way younger than me, but still needs to get up during the night to pee. Like me....
If you want to have vivid dreams, sleep with a nicotine patch on. I quit smoking 2 years ago, & if I kept the patch on at night my dreams seemed so very real. Downside is if you have a bad dream.
I don't know what it is, but I know we can't live without it. There are people that have a genetic disease that strikes them as an adult, and it prevent them from ever reaching the type of sleep our brains need to regenerate. The death they suffer is pretty hideous and slow.
