Huh, usually a stamp somewhere.

Nice find.

Is that chalking on the tank?

Solder!

That stove runs on white gas.

Some of the new Colemans run on propane. I find that easier during power outages.

Ate many a breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked on one just like that when I was a kid. My dad liked to camp, fish, fish some more, eat a little, fish some more...clean fish then eat dinner. That brings back some very pleasant memories. Thank you!

Yeah, I was reading through the WW111 thread and missed this one until now.

Way cool, as in Coolamundo Baby!

Especially the road flare. That's some scheidt there for sure.

Probably should look for an old Coleman stove too. didn't know they had gotten that spendy.

Yep,

could have at least used some JB Weld.

Oh but the eggs and fried taters we used to cook on that thing in ‘52

Reminds me of 16 ga paper shotshells...the smell.

Doesn't look like solder to me.

Looks more like an epoxy.

Be careful Jim.

More than one old timer's cabin burned down with one of them things or the Coleman lantern going to hell.

Old folks around here say they used to light smudge pots and put in the yard when someone died.

Back in the days before FB and cel phones and chit.

Back when “sitting up with the dead” was a thing.

Heard of my grannie talk about gong to so and so’s house and uncle Tommy be laid out in the living room.

Body stayed there till the grave.

75 bucks seems high for the stove. I have one fro the 80s. I'm saving it for the apocalypse.

I like the road flare. That is very cool.

The stove appears to be in great condition.

Pump, pump, pump, pump, pump...

Sucks I'm so old I remember seeing those road flares in use.

My father told me his dad was in the living room for a day and a half. Neighbors took turns all night "sitting up".

He said another neighbor that worked for the state put out the smudge pots in the front yard.

1952 or 53 I think.
