I have two of those white gas stoves. One was never used. Also have 4 white gas Coleman Lanterns. They are the best thing for tracking wounded deer at night. For some reason they make the blood glow. Those lanterns are great. Good memories. Can you still get mantles?

A Coleman 426A Stove and a Deitz no. 80 highway flare. I used to have one of those (stove) around here somewhere. I remember scalding turkeys over it about twenty-five years ago. But don't have a clue where it went. Instead, I recently purchased a Camp Chef style propane stove for mixing lead alloys. I don't know if the Coleman would have produced the BTUs to hold a CI dutch oven with 100# of alloy at 750 degrees.

Will use my camp chef stove for that.

Leaking tank with a band aid applied by someone who can't solder.
Paid over twice what it cost today.......Brand NEW. That pawn shop is glad he got a good donation today. Maybe back in 1950. Today he could not touch that stove new at twice what he paid. Used prices are driven by local markets and even then, the lows can often be sporadic. Said another way, one might wait a long time to see a low price and they tend to get snatched up quickly. Walmart shows their Dual Fuel Guide Series two burner for over $200. I have a Coleman 425 two burner I've gotten use out of for several decades. On occasion it would be nice to have that third burner, but it comes at a cost of decreased table/tailgate space. Coleman still shows the Liquid Fuel Stove (white gas only) with the red tank but it seems like stores only carry the gray tank Dual Fuel stove anymore.

I have an old Coleman 2 burner white gas stove with very little use. The reason it was used so little was because I discovered propane.

LOL First year of my marriage my wife and I used nothing but kerosene lamps, wood stove and an outside water pump powered by a Briggs and Stratton.

My 70's model dual fuel has a red tank. Didn't know they made dual fuel back then. Does the dual fuel burn gasoline cleanly? I've never used one but suspect it's better to run white gas for less soot buildup.

I've never used anything but white gas in it.

This from a guy who glues fabric to his car, cuts up old suits for camo, and has to ask God for a socket set. Crappy, have you ever had two dimes to rub together?

Just went and looked in the garage, I have 5 of the large 2 burner and 3 small 2 burner. Up in the mountains I have a 3 burner like the 1 pictures and 1 each of the 2 burner. They are 60s/70s with the red tanks.
This is after selling 2 3 burners and about 6 of the 2 burners last year, after the wife no more... I sold them for 20 and 30 bucks, all tanks worked.
That older tank is from the 50s.
Mostly I run them off propane, converter with hose and tank, I will run them off white gas for the nostalgia occasionally.
First one I got for myself I found a 2 burner/large in a pile of junk behind my grandparents house, the tank was no good, I bought a converter for 10 bucks and painted it army green... 1978. Used it for many years, still have it.

I sold my 1970βs two burner, propane Coleman stove last year. Still have two of the small, one burner propane stoves.

That propane converter is a game changer. All my white fuel Coleman stuff needs clog repair, generators etc. Most found these days that have been idle, will need attention
Various propane adapters are available, filling the little camping bottles from grill tanks or bigger is now easy & a lot cheaper per gallon. That sounds very handy and convenient. I don't like either of those things. Sounds like a younger friend of mine. He'll step over a dollar to pick up a dime..... only if the dime will make it harder on him.
