I was plinking around with my new Kidd 22 and didn't have a scope to put on it, so I pulled an Eotech off another gun and used in on the Kidd. It was surprisingly easy to sight in and at 50 yards it was right on the money ..At 100 yards I could easily see the red dot, but the target was not clear - I have 70 year old eyes which is part of the problem. So my question is - has anyone used an Eotech or other red dot with a magnifier on a 22 and is it worthwhile??

If the magnifier can be focused to your vision, it should help. I like prism sights because they can be focused like a scope, but they have limited eye-relief like a scope as well. With red dots, I use low-powered readers, like +1.0, which sharpens everything for me.
What fresh Hell is this?

I haven't used that setup myself, but it's common for 3 gun shooters to use it on AR-15's in competition. It appears to work well because lots of people use it. There's no reason it wouldn't work on a .22. Just depends on how you want to use the rifle.

Using a SWFA 1-4x on my Kidd barreled/triggered 10/22 now. Use as a red dot at 1x and magnified at 4x. Went through a bunch of scopes on this gun and this is perfect for my uses.
