After posting my recent .358 Win target with the 160 gr. CEB Raptor and remembering my 135 gr. CEB Raptor group out of my .308 and the .235 gr. CEB Raptor group out of my .375 H&H, I thought I'd put those three targets together. Expensive bullets, but I'm a believer. Their terminal performance is as good as their accuracy.

I think I'm seeing a trend here... These are all hunting rifles. The .358 Win is a JES rebored P-64 FWT .243, the .308 is a Kimber Classic with a Broughton 5C barrel and the .375 H&H is a M-70 NH SS Classic. Hunting guns, not target or match grade.

Here's a CEB link to the 135 gr. .308 Raptor. I wrote the last review, pictures show group and terminal performance on a hog. https://cuttingedgebullets.com/308-135gr-er-extended-range-raptor

Mule Deer & Co. have used these a bit and seem to like them on game. Don’t recall the accuracy he got.

What fresh Hell is this?

I’ve heard that some PH’s like them. The only potential downside is one of these hitting something before the critter, may start the frag process prematurely.

I have a buddy who has been using them in his son's .223 to take OK whitetails. They seem to do the job in quick fashion. He also tried them in a .300 Win Mag and thought they were too much of a good thing for close range shots.

They work when they work. I’ve shot a lot of them and have had most provide excellent accuracy. I’ve had some issues with the ER Raptor, but the flat base always worked.

What were your issues?

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

I'd be interested in hearing that.

Don't sleep on the CEB Lazers as they work just as well as the Raptors on game and have significantly better BCs....

As a group, we took them to Africa in 300 WBY (180gr) and 30-378 WBY (200gr) and used them on game including warthog (3), kudu, zebra (2), sable (2), baboon, eland, nyala and wildebeest at ranges from 80-647yds. All were 1 shot kills and all bullets aside from one sable passed through. No animals went further than 40yds after the shot with most dropping on the spot.

Additionally, I took a follow up up shot on a friends cape buffalo that was initially shot with a 270gr Barnes LRX from a 378 Wby. The 180gr Lazer from a 300 WBY at 3185fps shot through both shoulders at 60yds with the remaining base of the bullet found in the offside hide (nose forward). It is literally the one bullet that can do it all.

I've not used them. Will have to check them out.

I have some Hammers, but they don't group as well as CEB's.
