Is the DMV allowing you to keep driving?

Just like jerking off, totally legal and natural, as long as there's no internet porn involved.

Looking for something and drove by a small Chevy dealership today, he had 5 new ones out front. Another larger one had 10 or so. The next Ford down the road had a few trucks on the lot. A huge GMC/Toyota/Buick/Hundai, Subaru,Cadillac, etc, etc dealer about 5 miles from me had at least 20 clean used ...Anyone can buy them...One is a 2021 Tundra with 600miles...Platinum @ $55,992 asking.

Drove past a couple Dodge dealerships and Rams were plentiful....The Jeep dealers are stocked up like nothing is going on. I guess they would sell you one also. grin

My closest Chevy lot has only a few used....A friend is a small country Chevy dealer and right now has a few new trucks...all pretty much basic work trucks..Nothing with much of an upgrade....

You have a lot of car lots there.

I was at a shoot and four were 70 miles from home. Three others are within 3-10 miles. My friends dealership is close to 100 from home.

Dealers here have hardly anything.
Everything they get has been ordered by customers.
Theyre selling, just dont have any general sale stuff on their lots.

Bud got a new truck off a lot, but works for manufacturer and got the reg discount. After he got it they supply at that dealership dried up again.

Dunno if any are going full retail or above.

Saw a hauler w new trucks going down the road a couple days ago. Dunno what dealer got em.

This. I grew up in a new car/ truck dealership. We aways kept the late model trades for our used car lot. The older trades we wholesaled as they more times than not had mechanical issues or we found they would shortly after the sale to the customer. Once in a while we would keep an older model trade but it was very uncommon.
The wholesalers would stop in write us a check and those old trades were someone else's headache. I hated the car business so I went on to other things after college. I did do a five year stint as the Parts and Service Director at one of our family stores in the late 1990’s. That pretty well got the car biz out of my system for good.

In 2017 I tried to buy a truck like that. I researched and looked but after I looked at my special depreciation write off for my business portion of my use it was better for me to buy a new truck. So I did. I would like a new truck but my 2017 is clean as a new one and 50k on the miles. New tires and no issues so give the current market I am going to drive it another year and take a look next year.

I’m about 20 miles outside of Pittsburgh…. If one would take a 30 mile radius around Pittsburgh….there are at least 50…and I wouldn’t be afraid to bet more.

I wanted a good used pickup last week. Went to Autotrader.com. Looked for a crew cab 4wd with less than 45k miles, 2018 or 2019. A dozen or more popped up near my home. Most all at dealers. I ended up buying the one I felt was the best deal for me. Still some factory warranty left. Even came with a topper, which saved me $1500 or so. I would NEVER shop used cars without checking online first. The savings in time and money is unreal. Best of luck in your search.

Hubert, you'd probably be better off hiring some housewife with a car to take you to WalMart and the pharmacy. She can stop at 7-11 so you can buy your lottery tickets too.

That would be cheaper than buying a new pickup. And Lord knows the public and yourself would be a thousand times safer.

I'm focused more on keeping the vehicles I have in good running shape. No way do I want to try to buy anything worth having in this market.
