I was on the old NWTF forum and some guys were giving me a ration of crap on a rifle and shooting thread saying I didn't know what I was talking about. Some fellow realized I did and sent me a PM about the Fire and I joined up. But folks bitch here just as much here these days as they did on the NWTF forum back in the day.

Frankly, I don't remember how I heard about the camp fire. Best guess was someone mentioned it on another site I was on so came over and took a look. Liked what I saw and joined.

My BFF had been a member, and saw me looking at the HighRoad (which sucked, giant sweaty balls). I didn't know this place existed till he told me about it. Can't believe it's been 13 years sharing info, bs'ing, and arguing on here lol.
At the time I didn't have much time to waste on the 'net. Had been a member at six-guns.com which was really neat, but seemed like it folded.

I was constantly googling stuff about rifles and handloads. This site always popped up in my search and I started reading. I joined about 3 years later.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Had had it with Walterhogg over on Accurate Reloading.....
was told about this site by someone locally, and have been here ever since...
Knew a batch of folks from AR I found over here, so knew it would past muster...
Digital Dan and GeeDubya were two of my AR Acquaintances.
I do miss a bunch of the guys I got to know from my early days, the ones who left when all the BS started flowing..

Trying to remember....seems like started over at Swamps or Hunttalk or huntamerica which imploded after a while and everyone came over here.
Seems like someone posted pics of thier junk in a pan, then a guide on there got busted or arrested or in a fight with one of his guides. its all kinda foggy.
