At the risk of confirming Swifty's observation, there is another alternative. 😂 Rocky you are consistent.

I'm going to try biting my tongue (typing fingers, actually) about it, Swifty. In the full and eager anticipation of eventually saying "I tried to tell you so."

Rocky, If the Windows 11 is going to be the problem yourself and fellow anti Windows crusaders are saying then the first page of 24Hour will be threads on Windows 11 It won't happen. 99.99% of people won't ever go to Settings and Update ad Security and so won't see the notices there.

Update and Security should notify you if your computer is eligible or not for the Windows 11 "upgrade".
Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

Update and Security should notify you if your computer is eligible or not for the Windows 11 "upgrade". It does on all my computers and none (8 of them) are suitable. I am not worried in the least and do ot expect to have to buy new computers ") From a computer article: "Windows 11's system requirements differ from those of previous versions of Windows. Microsoft admitted that some of the requirements are not set in stone, especially the processor restrictions may be lifted before the operating system is released officially." Here is a thread on a Microsoft Access forum about Windows 11. https://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/threads/windows-11.318421/

Hell will freeze over before you get to say those words to me Rocky. My windows laptop hasn’t even been powered on in 6 weeks. In 2025 when 10 is dead it will be disconnected from the net permanently and returned to Win 7 from backup before the 10 upgrade. I may play with Linux some more as I have a bootable 1T portable drive partitioned for 2 different Linux OS that I just haven’t found the need or time to mess with. I do all of my surfing, games and such on a 64 gig iPad which is why my laptops just sit. Don’t worry though you will get to say those words a lot to others, but not me. 😀

"Get your geek on"? Lots of the folks here can't manage to make a bootable USB stick and you're suggesting they take on the MS engineers? No, I realize most here have no clue...and the majority that think they could "I run Brave browser and ads cant get to me" will be in tears and never see a boot screen. Im just sayin its doable...unlike Flaves wife

Both of our desk top machines have windows 7. I have windows 10 on a lap top. I think it's an absolute piss poor excuse for an operating system. Almost as bad as what windows 8 was.
