Hello all I have a 65' model 30-30 94 that was passed down to me and I'm in search of a peep sight that won't require drilling any suggestions?

There's no holes in it for a Williams? Most of them from the 60s and 70s were d/t from the factory on the top of the reciever just forward of the hammer.

It's a good possibility I don't have the gun in front of me right now unfortunately. I presume the front sight would need to be taller as well ?

The sight sits up over the reciever a bit, so it'd be a pretty safe bet that a taller front would be needed. I haven't owned a 94 in a long time, though, so I don't remember for sure.

I've put both Lyman 66 and Williams receiver sights on them and never had to change the front sight. I'd go with an old Lyman 66 before a Williams, or a Skinner for that matter. Hold the three in your hand and you'll see why.

True, Williams are pretty chinsey compared to a Lyman and they won't win any styling contests, but they do work well.

Just screw it on. Your rifle has pre-drilled holes for it from the factory.

It should be D&T’d on the side of the receiver for a peep.

Camp is where you make it.
