I've been told I'm trustworthy.
I'm just not sure I'm "THAT" trustworthy.
Better not send pics to me, just post 'em up as I would.

I don't know if I have ever seen a Stormy Kromer hat on a true outdoorsman----meaning ranchers and farmers. The last I checked, by the end of the month they will all be wearing Scotch caps with real ear flaps. I personally wouldn't wear either, since I am not a rancher or farmer. My ears don't get cold----ever!
I don't know about anyone else around here, but I'm not signing up to wear no "Scotch cap" with a ball on the tip top. That's about as weird as the Canuck toques with the little ball on top. Kaywoodie, knower of all things, well maybe most things, historical, what's the story on the little ball of yarn bristles on top of these things? Seems like a waste of good yard to me, and they look funny too. If it gets so cold the ear flaps on a Kromer aren't working, then I pull the scarf up higher, turn up the collar, and if really really cold...................... I take the watch cap out of the pack and do the 'flave thing. Or, there's always that alternative known as a ...................................................HOOD. Sheesh. ps, y'all do have a nice warm scarf, no?

I remember reading some bullshidt years ago about how “real” ranchers don’t wear felt cowboy hats. That only “dudes” and pretenders did. “Real” ranchers wear ball caps and ride 4wheelers. I still laugh at that

I just learned on this thread, only farmers and ranchers are true outdoorsman. Betting some loggers might not agree. Along with steelhead fishermen and the list goes on. Growing up farming was fair weather, logging was for after the freeze!

Do you wear that to the BHA fundraisers? I tried a similar style hat once. The agency I worked for once had a nice fur trooper hat available on the uniform site. When I started they no longer had it listed, you know the old "fur is cruel for critters" but synthetics made from oil are fine. Dang thing choked me when I tried to use that chin strap made from the ear flaps. Maybe the KUIU folks ironed out that problem? Maybe it was just a prominent Adam's apple deal, I think I'll stick with a Kromer and scarf if needed, or one of a bunch of wool watchcaps I have.
