A house, several miles from me exploded yesterday.
Blew the side out, part of roof off. Man and woman injured.
The woman released from hospital, man still in with serious injuries.
Today , the news reported it happened while someone was reloading ammo.
I am trying to think of how it might have happened.

Ideas?

Propane could very easily be the cause.

Gas explosion was my first thought, but it was not mentioned.
There was no fire.

They said he had 6 lbs of powder nearby, but didn't say it all exploded.

I’m gonna call Bullschitt. It would have had to be Black Powder. Maybe if he would have been smoking while reloading with Black Powder.

Like I said, sounds like Bullschitt to me.

A keg of powder or more likely a gas leak. Could have been casting bullets. That might be considered "reloading"?

Black powder?

Smokeless would have to be contained in something pretty stout to go off. Burn like hell but not explode.

Maybe just lying to cover up the meth lab.

The "reloading" angle is bullshit.
