https://www.eurooptic.com/vortex-razor-hd-gen-ii-1-6x24-riflescope.aspx

If in the market for a LPVO, the Razor 1-6 is an excellent choice.

It's the older version not the "E." As far as I know the only difference is the "E" is 4 ounces lighter.

I've got a couple of 'em on ARs, and they're great scopes, a real value for $1k.

Looked through a II-E with the BDC illuminated reticle today. I was impressed. At $1400 they're proud of them, though.

Is there a better LPVO out there up to that price point?

Brother Riot, if you know of a used NX8 1-8 for sale, sub $900 bucks, let me know, please.

Dirt, ExpertVoice has the Gen II HD-E for $999 on sale, if you qualify. I'm not sure, exactly, who qualifies to buy on that website but know Military and LE for sure.

I bought one 2 weeks ago or so from ExpertVoice and it arrived to my house in about a week, direct from Vortex.

I have 3 of the Razor HDs, and find them great for my ARs.

I've not owned the NX8, but have owned several NXS series and were I to find a great buy on a NX8, yeah, I'd take one to a dance and give it a whirl.

That’s a great deal on a Razor. A few months ago < $1000 was a good used price.

I don’t know about “better”, but also give the Credo HX a look. Mine made a Razor owner jealous.

Thanks, Blue.

What reticle did you go with?

kingston and I were exchanging information and pursuing the Credo HX heavily a couple months ago, looking for a good deal. At the time, I was considering putting one on my 11.5" BCM pistol. So, I didn't want the FFP BDC reticle because of ranging on the BDC. So I'm sticking with the Aimpoint H2 on the pistol, since I can see the red dot just fine now after eye surgery.

So now, the gun that will be getting the new optic is a 16" BCM that I bought the upper and lower separate on sale over Black Friday. I have no issue using an illuminated BDC reticle for this one.

As an aside, I've pretty much decided that any new optic coming my way will have an illuminated reticle. I've got a few nice scopes to swap out as I move in that direction.

I got the BDC LED dot. I chose the .308 BDC, which matches up nicely with your 75grain ammo.
