Yes, occasionally! But, as I’ve been wearing short pants since May, the ankle rig hasn’t seen much use! 😁 memtb

Yes. A Desantis ankle holster and a Glock 23 in .40. I wore it while I was working at the local highschool as the SRO.

I used to, then saw a lot of LE who carried that way daily with big protruding veins in that leg. Read up a bit on it; caused by tight holsters. No more for me, unless a real special occasion - on those, "if you have to carry a gun, carry a backup" days.
Carried a model 60 in one for about 4 years. Heavy enough that it took some getting used to. Noticeable enough when it was gone to also take getting used to.
I could see the utility for a backup gun "maybe" but from prior posts from the OP, he hardly ever carries so I'm thinking he wants it as a primary. At his age, as soon as he started to slowly bend over, the robber would either kick him in the teeth or shoot him in the top of the head.

Fat cat,
I doubt if you ever had an experience with a robber. Mr. Wabigoon protects his church every Sunday. I think Wabi knows a little more about how he should carry than you. I used to know a young fat cat who asked the guys at work to tie his shoes for them because he couldn't reach past his beer belly. I've also seen an 81 year old in my class crank out push ups better than his young classmates.
Ankle holster, five days a week nearly 32 years now as a back up to a primary weapon. S&W Airweight .38 snubby, inside of the left ankle. I've only needed it one time but I really, really needed it then. I will retire in about six months and doubt I'll need that ankle rig much after that.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I think it is mostly the element of surprise, and sitting in a church pew, I'd be halfway to the holster.
One usher yesterday was watching the door.
That makes sense. Unless you are singing, Most of the service is in a seated position within reach of the calf. Pant leg is already hiked up and lowering the shoulders to draw is also advantageous. If you see a Threat, the best one can do is get as low as practical. Everything is cover and concealment....major strategic military doctrine when facing enemy fire.
