Nothing to do with desantis opening up Florida ports ??? I think most of the logjam is imports coming from China (and other southeast Asian countries). Aren't most of the container ships now too large to pass through the Panama canal to get to the Gulf and Atlantic ports in the US?

Nothing to do with desantis opening up Florida ports ??? I think most of the logjam is imports coming from China (and other southeast Asian countries). Aren't most of the container ships now too large to pass through the Panama canal to get to the Gulf and Atlantic ports in the US? I believe they expanded the canal to allow these huge ships.

Because of the labor shortage, the best estimates are that Biden's plan will move an extra 3,000ish containers a day. For reference, there are more than 500,000 containers sitting on cargo ships and growing. One mega container ship holds 10,000 containers.
