Went to my LGS the other day and a Remington Model 7 followed me home.
7mm-08 with a 20 inch barrel and 4 hole receiver. Gun is very clean and doesn't look to have been used much, bore scope shows a nice sharp throat and rifling.

Date code of "AX" puts the manufacture date at March 2003, and while it does have J lock, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I cleaned the bore with JB Bore Paste and put a Bushnell Elite 3200 2X7 with Rainguard and Firefly reticle in low rings on it.
Should make a nice foul weather rifle.

Don't think I could walk by that one either.

Had one exactly like that back in the day. Shot great, my only complaint with it is that if you hunt in the rain be careful that it doesn't slip out of your hand. When that stock gets wet it is very slippery!

If Rem had ever made those in LH, the hunt for my main rifle would have ended decades ago. Nice!

Nice, but watch that 3200 2-7, especially if going prone……one I had was under 2” for eye relief. Only scope that’s EVER bitten me, on a 243 no less. Coulda been a one-off, but I measured it at 1.7” or so, IIRC.

Cool guns M7s.

I had a 3 screw in 308. Nicest carrying rifle I ever had.
