So what does it cost now? I think it was 75 bucks or so roundtrip years ago. I think it doubled, is that true?

It did go way up before they quit doing it at all.

Back in the day I sent in at least a dozen scopes for a target elevation turret and reticle change.........
those day's are over, a few years ago they shut down the custom shop and do warranty repairs only.

Not to take away from the OPs question. But is there anyway to get an elevation turret installed on a leupold again? In this case; a 6x36?

I had three of them done about ten years ago and I think it cost about $40 for each one. I wasn't aware that they no longer do them. Turn around back then was about four weeks.
OP might want to do a search for changing Leupold reticles and see who else does them.

You might try these guys. They advertise in Rifle. https://targetshooteroptics.com/Home_Page.php

Thanks for the replies. Sad to see they closed their custom shop.

Those folks, with rare exceptions, only work on fixed powers. Everything is explained on their website. Looks like a pretty specialized outfit.
With Premier gone, and Leupold out of that business, looks like trading up or over is the only option in most cases. It’s really too bad they don’t at least offer custom options on new scopes. They could sell those direct, and take the middle-man profit for themselves. As long as they didn’t undercut their retailers, that shouldn’t cause a fuss.
What fresh Hell is this?

Email or call Leupold and ask them?

No need to call Leupold and ask, they don't change reticles anymore.

Need to call these guys about a reticle in an older USA made Burris 1.5x scope. I bought it last winter, still NIB. It has something coming off of the horizontal wire, I assume a tiny piece of paint. Doesn't hurt function but drives me nuts seeing it.
