40 years ago, I used to do some bass fishing in a local small river.
When bass fishing became a crazy – money game, I backed off and ended up Trout fishing in high mountain lakes.
Lots of moves and houses later, old gear gets lost.
I had a small box in the garage for decades, I looked in it a few times and the top layer was melted soft baits and rusted hooks.
I finally dumped it and underneath I found several of my old favorite lures.
A Bomber jointed long “A” that was in like new condition, nothing to do but sharpen the hooks.
Several Rapalas, jointed J-6s and J-9s, and a couple of “Shad Raps” with rusty hooks and split rings.
I replaced some hooks and split rings and polished them all up.
I have not seems any of these since the early 80s.
Brings back memories.

Shallow to deep, that looks like a dangerous offering.
Silver Rapala's are one of my favorites.
Some spelling errors can be corrected by a vowel movement.

Old lures are fascinating.

I wish I had a count of how many fish I have caught on a Rapala. I am a fan of a F-7 in the small ozark streams in Missouri.

Those old ones can be pretty darn collectible for someone, just not me. I've got step-dad's fathers tackle box down the basement and I don't know what I have.
My other auto is a .45

Do search of old lures for sale and prepare to be amazed. As a part time amateur collector I can't afford the hobby any more .
