I've been looking over the specs for the 7x64mm cartridge and haven't come up with a cartridge that I could easily transform that brass into. Making 7x57mm from that brass doesn't look viable to me.
Any ideas?

I was chatting with a bud who manages the rifle & ammo section of a big box sporting goods store. I finally asked what possessed him to order up all that Core-Lokt 7mm Brenneke ammo that's been sitting there for now over a year?
He said it had been 'foisted' on him and he was now ready to offer a screamin' deal if someone would take all of it off his hands. Hmmm...
Problem is I can't figure out what to do with the brass, and he's not ready to unload it for the price of the Core-Lokt's. Not yet anyway. Probably in another 6 months though.

I saw a pile of the 7x64 Remington ammo on the shelf in the Harrisburg Sportsman Warehouse a few days ago. Seems like they had it marked around 25 a box.. Darned good deal if you had such a rifle and needed some ammo!

Are you talking Harrisburg, Pa? I have a Savage 110 in 7x64. I bought 5 boxes of Sellier & Bellot, 158 gr. Don't know much about them, never shot them. Also about 100 handloads. Would like to have a few boxes of Remington. Core-Lokts, I assume ? Where is Sportsman Warehouse in Harrisburg? I'm about 1 hour away. Thanks

At the intersection of the 581 and the 15. https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...140gr-psp-rifle-ammo-20-rounds/p/1681094Here is the address Sportsman's Warehouse Camp Hill No. 607 3500 Capital City Mall Drive Camp Hill, PA I know it says out of stock, but there were 10+ boxes of the stuff there Tuesday morning. I highly doubt it got scooped up.

Thanks. That used to be Field and Stream, I think. Maybe get up there over the weekend. There is a Sportsman Warehouse at exit 20 on I-81. It's closer, might check there.

The Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way, WA has had 12-15 boxes of Remington 7x64 ammo on the shelf for a couple of months now.
Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

My bud the manager also mentioned the growing pile of 6.8 Western ammo on the self. They started out offering a box with every new Browning/Winchester rifle sold. The pile kept growing, so now they're offering 2 boxes with each rifle sold.
It's not looking good....

I saw that as well! A bunch of 6.8 Western. While not a huge deal it seems like it’d be right in line with everything else. A 175 at 2850 or 165 mid 2900’s in an easy shooting rifle. Oh well, can’t win them all I guess.

Any ideas? I turned a 30-06 into a 6.5-06 last year, and these were perfect to neck down, trim, load and fireform. Easy, Peasy!

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Not sure. But the right rifle would be enough to try one.
