The mono performed exactly as expected IMO. No surprises there.

Had the buck been standing and alert, I imagine he would have roughly gone 100yards and tipped over.

You done well. Congrats. I have taken several antelope and more then a few deer with a .223 and 22-250. Most with a 60 gr. Nosler partition, and a few with the Speer 70 gr. The bullets all did well.

heck of a lot of stags got culled with a triple 2 and 55gr in new zealand back in the 70's.
