Live here in Hicksville, and maybe a decade behind the trends.
But the 14 year old, 9th grade daughter was telling us about the Furry at school.
This poor, confused bastard wears a big bushy tail! There are several, they bark and meow. Older daughters boyfriend laughed and said their school had a bunch of them. Some would answer teachers with barks or meows.
Anyone else hear of this?
I've heard it's common for queers in Texas. They dress as sheep and get a pass.

I've heard it's common for queers in Texas. They dress as sheep and get a pass. Our daughter came home from school on the first or second day back after summer break last month and proceeded to tell me about the number of mentally fugked up kids that have been appearing at school. I’m absolutely disgusted that bullshit is tolerated by the school let alone the “parent/s”. These dipshit kids think they’re somehow attracted to or comforted by dressing up as their spirit animal or whatever the fugk their mental illness dictates. That “Furry” bullshit, along with the rest of the pathetic examples of lunatics running the asylum is another one of the reasons we spent ALL DAMN DAY in meetings with school counselors and teachers pulling our sophomore out of public school and home schooling her for the rest of her high school career. This kind of craziness has become almost commonplace. If this had happened when I was young those kids would’ve been sent to a shrink instead of embraced by “the adults”. It is a completely different world and not at all in a good way! There’s no grownups putting their foot down and saying “enough is enough”, instead they coddle these nuts and bend over backwards to make them feel accepted. Our daughter is not shy, she’s not disrespectful but she’s also not afraid to be heard but at some point the environment itself is not healthy for normal people. We’re done with public school and the freak show that’s replaced it. I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it for myself….I still can’t believe that any parent or teacher wouldn’t put a stop to it but like I said, the batshit crazy lunatics are running the asylum and the intelligent (our daughter is a 4.0gpa student) kids are the minority that quietly and studiously go about their schoolwork and athletics trying their best to tune out the nuts. Our country is truly and honestly fugked!

Aces, My daughter has ideas, and they usually come right out her mouth. Some say she is "Her Dad without a weiner". She has already got in trouble with a teacher over this. I keep telling her to ignore the freaks, keep her head down and mind her business. (Do as I say...) And pray for them.
There has to be a problem in a teenagers life to do this.
I think.
Just realized it isn't exactly different than an ear ring or ponytail on a boy. Both were shocking things in the 80's when I was a kid.
If they need the attention and want reaction, they gotta keep pushing past new "normals".

It professes there is no real GOD were the instruction is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow but their god is self and climate and feel good and we are just animals. Even most the unbelievers on the Fire can see our society has fallen into disarray since HE was kicked out of school but will say the problem is this or that or the other.

Kids desperately seeking the attention that most parents aren't allowed to dispense. And their own parents are just as clueless. Time to take back the schools.

You aren't wrong about the world going nuts in the last 50 years. But is school prayer the reason? Or just a symptom?
If the world was so "right" and everyone so devout, prayer wouldn't have been taken out. Heck, we would have become a secular country.
People that keep running the prayer in school mantra up the flagpole need to quit with the faux piety, and think this through.
I personally would endorse prayer in school. Mandatory classes.
If I, Me, and Myself could pick the presenter and curriculum.
And there we go, we got a problem.
The United States has this thing called a Constitution. The dudes who wrote it couldn't agree to enact it. Untill they made some changes. Ammendments. 10 of them Amendments.
The very first thing addressed in the first amendment is freedom of religion.
Freedom to chose to be religious or not. Freedom to choose which religon, and how to observe it.
So, what do we do when at prayer the teacher is Islamic Buddist A Whikken Shinto Druid, to name a few?
Or even, Mormon Jahovas Whitness Seventh Day Adventist Baptist Catholic (Roman, Greek, Russian?) Methodist Luthern All Christians who don't agree much!
Then we have people who make a religon of denying religon. Atheist
OR Agnostic who DGAS!,
As Americans we allow that freedom. So they will be the ones teaching rreligon to our kids In sanctioned classes. That's worse than what We have now.

Public school students are kids from the community the school serves. Those screwed up kids are screwed up at home and bring that chit to school. Their parents are screwed up and allow this behavior to continue. American society is a chit show. Until this country gets it's head right this crap will continue.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Same songs have been sung, Grease filled slicked back hair of the 50's school boys. Long hair and Beatles wigs in the 60's Bell bottoms and guru jackets of the 70's Parents screamed, our youth is lost. Now this, so what,
