I just read Horned Death by John F. Burger. Burger killed over 1000 buffalo plus sundry lion and elephant during the first half of the 20th century.
He mentions in passing a friendship with Mickey Norton, who was 80 years old in 1946. Norton, according to Burger, was the greatest elephant hunter of all time, with 4,000 kills.
Has anyone ever heard of Mickey Norton? Are there any books written by him or about him?
