It is unhealthy to eat all that meat full of saturated fat and cholesterol. The goal is to keep you healthy and cut down on methane production so that our grandkids have nice planet to live on.

#blessit

Actually, they say 'Bless your heart'. One of the best ways to loose weight is to buy foods one does not like to eat. Eating less equals loosing weight.

used to use the "store brand" bacon.

best choice, piggly wiggly, best value, etc.....

it was really the miss cut name brand stuff.

$2-3/ #

Couple weeks ago on labor day, spur the moment, went to our local town store.

wanted to grill some bacon wrapped deer and jalepenos.

$7 for a 12oz pack.

holy moly.

i got it. had to put back the Coors light and get keystone light instead to break even though.

I would have skipped the Keystone and bought another pack of bacon! grin

Our favorite bacon was on sale about 3 weeks for $2.99/lb. As we had about 20 to 25 pounds in the freezer, I didn’t want to make a special trip to town ......I’m regretting that decision ! 🤬 memtb

Pigs produce far far less methane than cows. Don't know why, but they do.

Most all of the meat my rural grandmother, and other kinfolk ate day in and day out was home raised and cured pork -- bacon, shoulder, and occasionally a little ham (most cured smoked hams were sold for badly needed cash money), and cooked everything in home rendered lard. They lived well into their senior years and enjoyed good health up until their last days. Grandma was just a couple years shy of 100 when she passed.
