Back when I lived in Key Largo they used to crop dust the entire Rt. 1 for mosquitos... with DDT, Agent Orange, Thalidomide or whatever leftover chemicals the Army had on liquidation from Korea. Seemed like a GREAT IDEA to some... but that crap always got into my cocktails and made them taste funny... and would peel the paint on my Jeep. I began to have a tiny distrust in .GOV thinking. Good thing I was drunk most of the time.
