Night is about the only time ta catch a porky ravaging your trees. Occasionally spot piggys and other marauders in the day but if it is nocturnal best to hunt at night...what to use? It depends on the range..

That was my .308...
Not even close. We hunted that farm again a few nights later and saw 150 hogs in it, in several groups.
I was just calculating you killed 3 sows, but some of them piglets got away, and in 6 months the females will be breeding like momma was, and right back where you started.
I'm guessing when you were shooting over to the right the hot spots at the tree line were more hogs then? I wondered if they might be deer, but they didn't look tall enough.
