When I moved to Idaho in 1990 there was one murder in the entire state that year. One. Next year the murder rate tripled, there were three murders in 1991.
Up until just a few years ago, meaning 2014 or 2015, it was nothing to walk around downtown or even the fringes late at night or through a large parking garage and not even think about personal danger. The only violence was college students sometimes getting in a drunken fistfight along a one or two block area of Main Street where the college bars are located. I hear there was a shooting (yep - a damned Norwegian) there a few months ago, first time I'd ever heard of that.
This is disheartening.

Add to that two more murdered in Ontario yesterday PM. But these two seem to be part of a gang war. Dead bangers in Ontario is becoming a regular occurrence.
Unfortunately, sometimes they catch an innocent bystander with the flying lead.
Apparently, the dead hispanic banger was married to the daughter of a previous co-worker.

The liberals wanted "Diversity" for Boise and Idaho in general. The turds from Seattle, Portlandia, and California came in waves like locusts and destroyed what once was a beautiful little town. What is happening on the southern border of the United states is happening to Idaho with the locusts who destroyed California/Seattle, etc and now are doing the same to ID.
Boise now resembles a lot of cities in California. It disgusts me. Unfortunately it is not just Boise, as they have been coming in waves to the rest of Idaho too, just like the scum along the southern border, bringing all that is bad with them, and ruining a phenomenal way of life. The most common BS I hear is "don't you want more conservatives here?" Nope. A cali conservative is not even close to a ID, MT, WY conservative. Not even remotely close. A totally different animal. Thanks to them, what used to take 10-15 minutes to go from point A to B can now take an hour due to bumper to bumper traffic. Every campground is full of trailers, and people acting like inconsiderate azzholes, etc. The quiet and solitude of going to the mountains has been replaced with the roar of Razors ripping up and down the roads, people blasting music, throwing trash everywhere, (just like California), 15 cars at a trailhead, and people just simply acting like they did when they lived in San Diego.
Shooting and altercations are not at all unusual now.
So yesterday's incident is not even slightly surprising, quite frankly.

The Boise area has become a cultural mess in the last 30 years, there are lots of illegals from south of the border, the churches have brought in Africans from different areas of that country, Serbs, Russians, middle easterners, Pakistanis, it also has quite a few "peopIe of color",
I suppose that it will likely end up getting some of the Afghans also. It is becoming a mixture of people who did not get along in their home country and there is no reason to think that they will get along any better here.
Boise is no longer a rural farm town, the valley population is pushing one million people and along with that comes all of the issues of a larger population. I really enjoyed Boise years ago but I avoid it as much as possible now.
