What about the septic? And winters in the Hills?

Seen so many transplants over the last 30 years in NW Montana.
Only ones that seem to make it work out for more than a couple, few years are the younger families that throw everything they got into it and work their azzes off making it happen from scratch.
Those city dwellers with rural dreams that stay in the city to keep strong jobs and upper ranking schools for their kids then make their move once they are financially comfortable never seem to last long.
They just don't get it.
There's a lot more to it than pretty views and deer in the yard.
It's lifestyle that most city types end up being quite uncomfortable with.
Best tip I could offer a city living rural dreamer is if you can't give up the luxury city life offers until later in life you'd better just stay in the city. There is gonna be hundreds of slight inconveniences you never thought of that comes with living rural.
Just make it a summer cabin you visit a couple times a year and all will be well.
