I started Kindergarten in 1949. I rode to school in my brother's Kaiser. Rode to school?? My father, as I, walked to school. But dad said he walked up hill both ways. I always challenged him, being a punk kid & all & asked him why he didn't ride a horse. He told me he had to walk to stay warm. Would have frozen to death sittin atop a horse.

I’m so old I can remember 20.9 gas during gas wars, could take my girl out for 5 bucks, dollar for gas, burgers and coke for the two of us for 2 dollars, get in show with popcorn and soda for two bucks.
