OP Adk_BackCountry Campfire Member Joined: May 2013 Posts: 480 44.2795° N, 73.9799° W	Who is seeing signs of the early rut? I am located in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. I have seen a few good rubs and two small scrapes that caught my attention. Acorns and Beech nuts are in good abundance this year. Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go Oscar Wilde~~

About all we've seen so far. Packing Cookie up for a trip south with her cameras tomorrow. Should have some good shots in about 3 weeks. Peak for mulies here is about the 2nd and 3rd weeks of Nov. I did make a mock scrape in a location that has had an active scrape in it for the past 6-8 years. I placed a trail cam to record the activity. We will see what happens this Sunday.

I'd say based on the last 2 days that the chase is on in Western NY. They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
