I’m looking to get another freezer, for longer term storage. One that doesn’t self defrost. A good medium to large sized.

Any recommendations or any to avoid?

I could look at online reviews but the butt-out tool has 5 stars, so I’m asking here.

Whatever causes chests to freeze, I fully support it.

Last freezer we bought was a Crossley.

Seems fine. It's on the small side at 21 cu. ft. but it's designed well with rounded corners.

Man...I had a hardon for upright freezers for a while.

No more for me.

They only hold a half of what a chest freezer will hold.

The one undeniable truth about chest freezers...you know exactly where to look for that cut you want for dinner...in the bottom.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Whatever Caribou Jack cuts and pastes from Facebook...take that, multiply 2 and divide by $6000

Sand Billy.......up to date reviews may be your best source for the data you need!

Today’s appliances are “not” designed to last like those of yesteryear! And, generally they meet those expectations. One of our chest freezers is a 1963 Sears Coldspot......still going strong! 😉 Though.....I do need to replace the lightbulb! 🤪. memtb

Chest freezers hold a lot and keep food a long time. There's probably some elk from '18 down in there somewhere.

Truth

+1

I put a couple of milk crates in our larger chest freezer. Makes it easier to unload and get to whatever I'm wanting that's always at the bottom.

Keep your chest freezers limited to a couple different things.

Like a half a beef and your venison.

Keep the icy pops and Pizza rolls in your fridge freezer.

A couple good ratchet straps and some tannerite.

Good times
