I don't think warm enough will be an issue. crazy It looks like temps in the high 50's.

I know, I'm bringing an extra cooler and planning on immediate skinning and quartering like last year when it was warm.

We're doing the same. Temps in the 30's at night will help.

This time tomorrow... I'll be north. No way I can wait this long to leave. My son saw a big buck chasing a doe across a sod field on his way to school this morning. So, he's gone. laugh

I gotta wait on my niece.

Yup, with a utility trailer, so I don't endanger anyone with deer in the back.....

Haven't been here in a long time, but figured there might be a little chatter this week! Good luck to all the hunters and be safe!

Kids are growing fast and watching them play football is awesome. Love to watch the local high school team where my daughters boyfriend plays and two neighbor kids. We have another kid who is the fastest, most exciting player in the state. Sure makes for some exciting football to watch.

My boys both shot antelope bucks and my daughter shot a 5X5 bull elk. So far, I have felled a couple ducks and lost a mitten.

Northern Dave, we should try and have a beer or something at the trap championships next spring if you are down here.

Hope to see some grip and grin pictures next week on here!

Who's that?

We must have the second fastest kid in the state. He won state track in the 200m last spring. In the Section playoff game last week he ran for 283 yards and set the school record. The kid has a game tomorrow night for the State 1/4 Finals. He'll be up at camp late....but he'll be there. laugh

I've got a Gemtech Tracker for hunting. A Dead Air Mask for .22lr stuff, and a Griffin Armament Optimus for ARs, 9mm pistols, and 30cal rifles.

Same, same. Since 1963.

Deer season always seems to bring me back here. I buggered up my deer rifle but good tonight removing a scope. Seems my Herculean power snapped off a scope base screw and the rest is still in the receiver. No good way to extract it. Win M100 308. Not happy at the moment. <sigh>

Good luck to all you Minnesotans. It's the best time of the year!

I’ve missed one season since 1989. It was 2018 when I was hunting in the Black Hills.

Kristen Hoskins. Committed to the Gophers. Official 4.31 40 yard dash, unofficial 4.27. Super fun to watch as he has more moves than Barry Sanders. Insane really. His biggest problem is we don't get the ball in his hands enough. He scores about every 3rd or 4th touch. Cant wait to see him play in the Big Ten next year!

We are going to watch them in Bemidji tonight. Will get back after midnight. Not great timing for opener tomorrow!!

You must mean Section Championship. The state tourney starts next round. What team? I will see how they do!
