Have any of you experience with the Kimber Varmint rifle? If so, what's the verdict?
I've handled a few at the shop and I really like the feel of them. Any of you using this rifle? Likes...dislikes? Accuracy?
Any info on this rifle would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have a 84M Varmint in .22-250. It's a really nice rifle. I'd highly recommend one.

I have a 22-250 in a Kimber Longmaster. Heavy fluted stainless barrel and laminated stock. It's the most stable rifle off a rest I have ever shot. It's pretty heavey too but for shooting off a rest it can' be beat. I bought it to prarie dog shoot and never got a chance to go after it was zeroed in.

I had a Longmaster also in 22-250 that liked H380 powder. It was sold to a buddy going on a prairie dog hunt in South Dakota. He wanted another rifle to rotate with his 40X.
I do have a Pro Varmint coming next week in .223Rem.. Got some Benchmark and 50 grainers waiting. A 4.5-14x40 will be on top.

\ What's not to like? Good looks, 1/2 inch groups, light weight with a semi-heavy barrel. I'd buy another.

Now that is what I like to see- a Kimber parked next to a dead coyote. Beautiful!
What Caliber - 22/250?
I use an old Kimber 84C (single shot) in .223 remington. Topped with a Nikon 4-12 Monarch, it is an excellent calling rifle. So far I've never needed the second shot capability.

I'm thinking about buying that same rifle in 204 Ruger (the rifle in the photo).
I wish that other rifle makers would take a look at that rifle and make something similar. It has a heavy barrel but it's not like you're lugging around a 100 lb boat anchor.
I'd like to see Kimber chamber that rifle for 220 Swift.

Damn, I wish the Pro Varmint came in a 24" barrel like the Varmint model does. 22" barrel in a 22-250 makes no sense.
