I want to have a custom cell phone holster made. I carry two phones, one personal, one business, and use this cheap nylon double holster. The velcro wears out in a month or two, nylon cases last around a year before they fall apart. I want to have a nice leather one made that attaches like a pancake holster shown in the picture. I'm looking for a finished product that has a magnetic closure, looks good, is durable, and high quality that will last. Can anyone recommend a good leather shop that does custom work like this?

Try a Google search for Tanner leather.. I believe they are located South of Richmond Indiana. David Tanner is the owner. Fantastic guy and deals with a massive volume of leather and has like a million vendors that buy from him. I'm sure he can get you straight on somebody. Just call him. super nice guy. About 80... But absolutely loves what he does.

If you are on the Accurate Reloading forum, go to their classifieds and look for Will. He makes wallets, cell phone covers and other leather products. He uses mostly elephant leather. He made a elephant/zebra belt for me, and quality was excellent.

Cant recall his username.
He’s posted his Instagram link a couple times. Great looking work.

Clint McGowan at Indiana harness in spokane made me one similar. Word of caution, magnets can smoke some cell phones.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Cgr, You might want to email your post here. I've seen their work and the website doesn't do it justice. Maybe you can get a quote? https://www.tannersalleyleather.com/-executive-brief

I called them today and also sent them an email with some pictures to get a quote. I live a little north of Pittsburgh PA so they're within driving distance for me.

Two things: Would the magnet closure mess with the screens on the phones? Don't know, just a thought that popped in my head.
How far north of Pittsburgh? I live in West Sunbury and work in Butler.

I hope you are able to find something that you'll appreciate for years. I know an artisan who is in that area that makes custom phone cases with copper wire and other interesting hardware. They look great, but he doesn't have a website up yet. It might not be what you're looking for, but PM if you want to ask him about them. Maybe he can email pics.

Thank you to everyone for the responses, I'm going to contact a couple of the people mentioned here. Here is a picture of my old BlackBerry case, it has a magnetic closure, you can see the round magnet in the top strap. They sold them for years with the magnetic closures without issue. Here is a picture of my current case with my phones in it.
