I bought it in the late 1990s, direct from Ed's company. There was a wait of several months. Amazing trigger. Reliability has been 100% since I replaced the extractor (long story). Anyway, with the new extractor, it's one of my favorite handguns. In fact, I've started to carry it lately. Here's my first ten yard, eight shot, group, from today's range session, fired standing, two handed. I fired 100 rounds of ball, total, no failures (as expected). The one flyer is me.

Damn, TRH. That is one of the finest 1911’s extant. I think I like your six shooters best, but that one is a treasure.

That’s one hell of a 100 shot group with only 1 called flyer. 😂
You’re gonna make bsa have an aneurysm. 😉

He makes a lightweight Kobra Carry, now, according to his website. Not sure I'd need it, though, since I hardly notice my all steel Kobra Carry while carrying it IWB, and an aluminum alloy frame would only add to felt recoil.

I've long admired the Kobra Carry. Almost bought one a couple times; but never have.

I like(love?) 1911's. Sorta grew up with them. Tote this one around often. ETA, I'd be pleased with that target. Especially with the first mag. I have fell off the wagon getting trigger time.

Very nice gun! How do you carry? IWB? IWB, in an El Paso Saddlery C-Force, using a Galco SB2 gun belt.

Sweet...Just bought one in stainless. I think I could have had it in stainless when I bought it. I probably should have. Less worry about wiping it down all the time.
