My old man's got a 260 he built back in the 70s before it was commercialized, so the barrel is marked 6.5-308. It's the exact dimension Rem ended up using, though, so he doesn't have to make the brass anymore.

Two here, first 25-06 I ever saw was a buddy's sendero 1st gen 25/06 after 8 years I was able to pry it way from him it likes nosler 100gr BTs with RE19, then while I was waiting for him to sell me that gun I picked up a tang safety with heavy barrel m77 it shoots 75gr and 100gr sierras better than I can.

Just got my new to me 25 today.............looking forward to scoping it up

I own (4) Ruger Express rifles in 25-06. These were made in the early '90s.

To my knowledge, only six were made. They were never listed in the Ruger literature: the smallest being 270 Win., plus also made in 7mmRM, 30-06, 300WM, & 338WM. I own all of these calibers in the Express rifles. I like to collect them.

I hunt with one of my Ruger Express' in 25-06 every year, and have taken it to Africa once in Namibia. The rifle has about (30) Pronghorns to its credit so far. Great unique little rifle in a great caliber.

The Express rifles were very classic in style, and very high quality.

I was never lucky enough to snag an Express, but owned a couple of RSM's in 375H&H

My one and only is the Featherweight in the middle.

I have Sako I bought in 1986. It’s old school gloss walnut and blue steel. It has a Leopold 3.5x10 glossy, on it. It is the best shooting gun I have. 100 gr Cor-Lokts and 3/4” groups all day.

Not a very good pic. Remington 700 built by Kampfeld loves 100 TTSX over Retumbo and pigs.

I'd love to post a pic of mine but this web site is too much of a PITA for techno challenged guys like me. Ruger Mod 77 Mk II target model with the target gray finish and a nice laminated stock. Model KM77VTMkII in .25-06. Won it in a gun raffle in 1997. Got a phone call saying I was the grand prize winner and I thought it was somebody pulling my leg. The .25-06 was one of those things that I had wanted for years but hadn't gotten around to it yet. In my lifetime I have probably spent enough money on gun raffles to purchase two of them and this is the only firearm I've ever won. It's a keeper for sure, though.

I was always intrigued by the .25-06, so two years ago when this became available through a friend of a co-worker I bought it. "Hunted" with it a bit this year, meaning I sat behind it a couple hours a day, over a couple days and saw nothing. I love No.1s and have a few others, but don't think this one is staying long term.

I’m gonna get a Sako L-61 in 25-06 one of these days.
