All:

I live in the Superior State and the Witch of November is really hot mad today. It made me think of one of my earliest memories. It was watching the news story of this tragedy.

When suppertime came, the old cook came on deck sayin'
"Fellas, it's too rough to feed ya"
At seven PM, a main hatchway caved in, he said
"Fellas, it's been good to know ya"

Heard stories the keel separated. Don’t know. I have been in some rough f’in seas and oceans.
Don’t wish that on anyone. Sitting and waiting/expecting for something to flood is nerve racking.

Yep. I was in Jr. high and remember watching the story on the news.
May they rest in peace.
