I tried a local smith last year and it was a nightmare !

Kevin weaver in Colorado I think works on pre64 M70 and is a great gunsmith. Not sure if anyone else on this forum does but someone might chime in.

He does some nice work. My local Smith was the best I've seen, but he's retired. Its a shame, a lot of the good ol smiths that specialized in pre 64 model 70's seem to be retired now.
