Hello
I am starting to collect the pieces to put together a compact 308 with a 700 SA and was wondering if someone could tell me the length from the front of the action to the end of the forend for the mcmillan classic and a hunters edge stocks. Just trying to get an idea how these might look as I plan to go with a 21” barrel.
Thanks

Should be about perfect - I've done a bunch of rifles in the Classic with 22" to 22.5" inch barrels and all looked & balanced great. Here are 3 examples, back rifle is 23", other 2 are both 22.5" finished length.

Thanks It's not always possible depending on the stock, but if one can get a forend that measures less than half the distance of the bbl length it will look right.
