$0.33/lb at Meijer's for frozen.
The straw in the coup cost more than that!

Because NC grows more turkeys than any other state except Minnesota.

Same as last year. What's up is everything else. Loss leaders.

Ours was free with $100 purchase which is a weekly occurrence at our house.
The ribs I’m smoking were $4.99/lb which is higher than giraffe puzzy compared to the $1.99 we are used to.

Ok….but anyone else with 2 functioning brain cells would. 😂

You can shoot $10 worth of ammo and enjoy your groundhog for Thanksgiving but a $6 Turkey is DAMN cheap.

Who knows. It’s corn and soybeans. I don’t shoot turkeys in the fall. Chase them in the spring on a different place with a shotgun like it’s supposed to be done.

Working in the turkey industry I was not surprised to hear that prices were expected to be up, as I was keenly aware of how much production costs have risen over the past year and a half. But then I saw whole birds at Fareway for $1.59/pound, which is not an awful price (although nowhere near as good as some of those posted above). Better yet, they gave you 14 pounds of bird free with the purchase of $50 from the meat counter, so I'd say this is the cheapest turkey I have ever bought.

At $20/pound maybe. I just wanted fresh and was curious on availability.
