I had my original T3 Lite plastic stock in spare parts and I was bored. I decided to try to lighten it up. I believe it weighed around 31 ounces from the factory. Earlier, I squared the butt up and glued on a flip flop pad. That got the stock to 26 ounces. This time I did a little radical cutting on the bottom of the butt stock and top of the fore end. The fore end still feels as stiff as before. The butt, you can flex it a little but not much because I kept the factory butt reinforcement in tact. With JB Weld action bedding, sponge camo paint with 2 coats of satin clear, stainless sling swivels and a new flip flop pad, the stock now weighs 21 and 3/4 ounces. The assembled rifle with an empty mag weighs 6 pounds, 1 1/4 ounces. And with a Leupold FXII 6x scope, 6 pounds, 14 3/4 ounces.

Love the paint job.

You saved a beer’s worth of weight.

Looks all tacticooly.

Bizarre location for the swivel stud bud - let us know how that works out.

Thanks for all of your comments. As I said, I was bored. I was looking for something gun related to do and the stock fell victim. RJ

Well I’m an old fart “blue steel & walnut” guy but by gosh if your happy that’s what counts ! Looks like you did a clean job on the mods. Curious though if it has any negative effects shooting or handling. Let us know how things go with it.
