That's the problem nowadays. Gun stores and pawn shops that sell guns, routinely post their stuff on auction sites, so they get top dollar, which applies a constant upward pressure on in-store prices.

Have patience, they'll get more common and reasonably priced once the initial frenzy settles down.

My local shop said at this rate he hopes to have one sometime within the next year. There is a surprising level of interest in this pistol.

I already have a very reasonable price quote from a local dealer. As soon as he can get one, it's mine. I just hope the wholesale price doesn't get jacked up.

In comparable news those Tisas/SDS 1911 A1 US Army models are back in good supply, except they're running about $100 or more over what they were last year when first introduced.

There are plenty of second-hand FN pistols out there. Not long ago I have seen one at American website for $1000. This was expensive to make polished blue model with wooden grips, no pos cheap blasted matte type of finish. It was chambered for excellent .40S&W cartridge.
