Looking primarily for a donor gun. Preference to New Haven, but BACO ok too. Thanks.

How much are you willing to spend? I have a SS model 70 classic in 7mm magnum - six digit. Never fired. Has the cool black FWT style stock.

I have a New Haven Classic Stainless in 300 WSM. Hardly used. I'm curious as to what your build plans are. Ive always wanted to do something with this rifle.

Not sure if its quite what you are looking for, but a local shop has a Montana Rifle Company (built on controlled round feed 70 clone action) in .338 WM...was sent to Hill Rifles for a bedding job. Email me if interested, I can get you their details. jason280 gmail.com

Nothing fancy, just an all arounder.338wm. Great round. All a rounder. In my opinion, fits in almost anywhere a 30/06 does. Only exception for me is if you need a light weight rifle. A little too much in an under 7-7.5 lb rifle. I did the same, some years ago. Went the same route, stainless. I had that cerakote covered, not bead blasted. If I were to do it again, I’m not so sure I’d chase so hard after a ss receiver. To me a blued receiver just feels so much smoother after a while. And with some of the covering and treatment out there now, just as durable in “hunting” conditions. Best wishes on your build. Keep us posted. Love me some 338wm!
